Brandon Stinchfield is the deputy director of foundations and grants at PEN America, overseeing foundation relations and grants management. He has pursued his passion for social justice in a mission-driven career spent developing and executing institutional-giving strategies at leading nonprofits. Previously, he created a grants program as the head of foundation and government grants at The Trevor Project, the world’s largest organization for suicide prevention and crisis intervention for LGBTQ youth. He also served as senior foundations manager at Demos, a think tank and advocacy organization working at the intersection of voting rights, economic justice, and racial equity. A Massachusetts native, Brandon holds a BA in history and international relations from Boston University.
